Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to anyone accessing the website or placing an order by telephone. By doing either of these activities you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions displayed below. If you do not wish to be bound by the stated terms and conditions please not use the website. 
 
Placing an order with us does not guarantee availability. We will, of course, make every effort to fulfil your order and if this is not possible we will let you know as soon as possible.

Buying
 
Sinks & Taps UK  is dedicated to providing excellent products and service at competitive prices.
 
To make a purchase, browse our Sinks & Taps UK website and click on any items that you wish to buy to add it to your shopping cart. When you have selected all the items you wish to buy, click on "Checkout" to pay for your goods.
 
Payment 
 
Payment can be made by credit or debit card online . Upon acceptance of your order, Sinks & Taps UK will debit your credit card with the full value of the order prior to despatch. All goods remain the property of Sinks & Taps UK until paid for in full. 
 
Credit Card Security
 
Your credit card payment is taken and processed securely. All credit card numbers are encrypted when the order is placed. They are not held in clear text on any website, nor are they ever seen by Sinks & Taps UK.
 
Cancellation And Returns Information
 
You may withdraw from this agreement at any time up to 7 days after Sinks & Taps UK have delivered the goods to you. If we have delivered the goods, you must not have used them and must have kept them in the condition they were delivered. You must return them to us or request us to collect them, in either case, at your cost. You must inform us by email, or in writing of your wish to cancel. You must contact us for advice on safely returning goods. 
 
The goods must be returned to us in perfect condition, with the original undamaged packaging. If any damages occur during transit the customer is responsible in full and a refund will not be given. The total amount to be refunded will be the price paid less any delivery charges or restocking charges. Judgement on the condition of goods and packaging will be at the sole discretion of Sinks & Taps UK. Please note that if you return the goods within 7 days in accordance with the Distance Selling Regulations then no restocking charge will be made.
 
If you wish to return the goods more than 7 days after we have delivered the goods to you, you must not have used them and must have kept them in the condition they were delivered. You must return them to us or request us to collect them, in either case, at your cost. There will be an additional administration charge of 25% of the purchase price of the goods returned.
 
Sinks & Taps UK will reimburse any amounts you have paid to us within 30 days of return of the goods, having deducted any return costs and administration fees applicable.
 
This guarantee is in addition to any warranties or conditions implied by law and nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
 
All cancellations must be received in writing.
 
Manufacturers Warranty
 
The 1810 Company products feature the highest degree of technology, quality and design. As a result, they are proud to offer the following warranty.
 
Sinks
 
The 1810 Company warrants its sinks to be free of manufacturing defects in material and workmanship under normal residential usage for 75 years.
 
Taps
 
All 1810 taps installed in a private residence carry a 2 year warranty on all mechanical parts to be free of manufacturing defects in material and workmanship under normal usage. All finishes carry a 2 year warranty.
 
General
 
In the event of a warranty claim, the owner will be required to provide proof of purchase in the form of a sales receipt. This warranty covers all components which make the product operational. The 1810 Company, at its option, may repair or replace the product or components necessary to restore the product to good working order. The 1810 Company reserves the right to inspect the installation prior to the actual replacement of the product or component part. 
 
This warranty does not cover misuse or abuse, accidental damages, scuffs or scratches, improper installation, abnormal usage, negligence or damage caused by improper maintenance or cleaning. Normal wear of parts is excluded from the warranty. Damage caused by impurities or acts beyond our control are not covered. Any product or part which has been repaired or altered in any manner outside of The 1810 Company’s factory, unless previously authorised in writing by The 1810 Company, will void any warranty. Any replacement excludes transportation and any labour re-installation costs.
You must return the item to the address specified, at your cost. 
 
All sinks come with the prestigious 1810 name embossed on them.
 
Delivery 
 
All items are subject to availability. We can only guarantee availability whilst stocks last. If the goods ordered are unavailable, we will contact you with suggestions of goods of equivalent quality and price. We will endeavour to deliver goods within the times stated, but goods are subject to availability and delay in delivery of goods is sometimes out of our control. Any dates we specify for the delivery of goods are approximate and we shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges or expenses caused by any delay for delivery of the goods. You should NOT arrange fitting any products before receiving and checking the goods.
 
As part of our commitment to excellent customer service, our standard delivery service (5-7 working days) is included at no extra charge for orders delivered to mainland UK addresses We do not make overseas deliveries.
 
All of our products are delivered FREE of charge* (unlike many of our competitors who will add as much as £32.00 to the bill, when you reach the checkout stage) .

The majority of our deliveries are handled by a Third Party Carrier. After placing your order, you may receive confirmation by email, which will fully detail your order. 
You must inspect goods thoroughly before signing for delivery. When signing for a delivery you accept that the goods have been received in good condition. If items are damaged on delivery you should not accept them, let the courier return them to Sinks and Taps UK. You should never sign a delivery as 'unchecked'. You must inform us of this within 24 hours of delivery.
 
Any additional costs involved with re-delivering goods through missed deliveries would be at the buyer’s expense
 
If goods are ordered at the weekend or on a Bank Holiday, the order will be processed on the next working day and delivery dates will vary accordingly. If a delivery would normally fall due over the Christmas shutdown period, the delivery period may be extended to a later date. We endeavour to deliver all goods on time, however delays are possible so please do not book your plumber until goods have been safely received, complete and in good condition. For bulky orders, please ensure that someone is available to help the driver move the goods from the delivery van to your premises. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that adequate access is made to the property in order for delivery to take place and that they or an authorised person are present to receive the delivery.
 
 
Product Description 
 
While every effort has been taken to provide accurate pictures and product information on this site we cannot guarantee that colours and finishes will be exactly as seen on the site. We do not make any guarantee’s regarding a products suitability for use. 
 
Pricing
 
All quoted prices are in UK sterling and include V.A.T. at the current rate. Although every effort will be made to adhere to the prices quoted on the website Sinks and Taps UK do reserve the right to alter or withdraw prices without notice. All customers would be advised of any price changes to those quoted prior to payment of their order and would have the right to cancel if they so wished. Sinks and Taps UK also reserve the right to withdraw from any offer or price which could be misconstrued by the purchaser.
 
Pricing Errors
 
In the event of a pricing error on the website, Sinks & Taps UK will not be bound to honour any orders made at that price.
 
Guarantee
 
All goods are guaranteed for a minimum of 30 days. On some products there is an extended guarantee and in such cases the extended period is outlined in the product description. Your statutory rights are not affected.
As a continuously evolving company, we reserve the right to change the specification of products and prices without prior notice.
 
Complaints 
 
Should you have a complaint we will endeavour to respond to this within 48 hours (2 working days).
 
Inspect Goods On Delivery
 
You must inspect goods thoroughly before signing for delivery. When signing for a delivery you accept that the goods have been received in good condition. If items are damaged on delivery you should not accept them, let the carrier return them to Sinks & Taps UK. You should never sign a delivery as 'unchecked'. You must inform us of this within 24 hours of delivery. 
 
Returning Goods
 
You must contact us for a returns form and returns number. Send an email to info@sinksandtapsuk.co.uk to request a returns number. You should return goods via a recorded and insured service. Sinks & Taps UK may refuse goods that are returned without good reason. Upon return we will test the goods for faults or damage. Sinks & Taps UK will not accept responsibility for any dismantling or refitting charges incurred.
 
Faulty Goods
 
All returns are tested. Sinks & Taps UK will replace the goods or give a full refund  when the fault is confirmed. If no fault is found the return may be refused. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure we have received any damage, fault or error report. Provided the above requirement is met, you will be entitled to an exchange or full refund. Sinks & Taps UK will not accept responsibility for any dismantling or refitting charges incurred.
 
If a Return Is Refused
 
If Sinks & Taps UK are unable to accept your return, you should collect your goods within 21 days of notification. Sinks & Taps UK will hold your goods for a maximum of 21 days but may have to dispose of them after this period if they have not been collected. 
 
Items lost in transit:
 
Sinks & Taps UK cannot be held responsible for packages lost in transit: as you are responsible for returning the item(s) to us.
 
Obtaining A Returns Form / Number
 
Any returned item/s must be accompanied by a completed returns form. You must also obtain a returns number by emailing info@sinksandtapsuk.co.uk You must then send the completed form with your returned item/s. Failure to do this could result in a 25% administration fee being charged.
 
 
Cancellation By Sinks & Taps uk
 
Sinks & Taps UK reserve the right to cancel the contract between us if;
 
i) Sinks & Taps UK have insufficient stock to deliver the goods you have ordered.
ii) Sinks & Taps UK do not deliver to your area. 
iii) One or more of the goods you ordered was listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or an error in the pricing information received by us from our suppliers.
 
Events Beyond Our Control 
 
Sinks & Taps UK shall have no liability for failure to deliver goods ordered or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect to goods delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond our reasonable control including, without limitation, strikes, lock-outs, industrial disputes, breakdown of systems or network access, flood, fire, explosion or accident.

By using Sinks & Taps UK website, you agree to these terms of use. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use this site. Sinks & Taps UK reserves the right, at any time, to modify, alter, or update these terms of use, and you agree to be bound by such modifications, alterations, or updates on subsequent visits.

If any part these terms and conditions shall be found to be unlawful it shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the remainder of the conditions. This contract is and shall be deemed to have been made in England and shall in all respects be governed by English Law.

Payment Methods
 
The Sinks & Taps UK accepts payment by both credit and debit cards. 
 
Credit/Debit Cards:
 
Sinks & Taps UK accept this payment method through our dedicated merchant gateway. To use this payment method just select the Pay With Credit Card option after completing your personal details at checkout, you will then be forwarded to the secure payment gateway on our site (you the customer are fully protected by 128bit SSL encryption). Complete your credit card details on the form and then click 'Complete Order'. All card payments are subject to security checks before any goods are dispatched. If the issuing bank of your card does not for any reason authorise payment from that account, the order may be delayed or cancelled. We never see your card details.
 
IMPORTANT: Do not click 'Complete Order' more than once as this may result in you being charged more than once for an item.
 
Switch/Maestro: 
 
You may be asked for your cards 'issue number', we are aware that this may not be on your card now. Sinks & Taps UK have found that the transaction will likely be approved if you use '0' as the value in the absence of an issue number on the card.
 
 
 
Cash & Cheque Payment:
 
Please Do not send cash or cheques by post as payment as Sinks & Taps UK do not accept them.

In the event that you do find a cheaper price elsewhere, please contact us immediately.
 
Sinks & Taps UK will match your price, provided the below conditions are met:
 
Product on competitor site must be identical to the one we are selling and in stock
Competitor product price quoted must include delivery charge
Product must be in stock on our site
Call centre agent must be able to verify price quoted
Product must not be part of a Multibuy quote
